WEEKEND WIZARDS
After each tournament, the coaches will choose one player who was the "weekend wizard". This player deserves special recognition for their performance at the team competition.
15: Megan Baker
The coaches would like to recognize Megan for her performance at their first tournament. She was defensively all over the court at their tournament with an aggressive calm about her. She was a huge part of the teams success and is a vocal leader on the court. Congrats Megan!
13 Purple: Caitlyn Young
The coaches would like to recognize Caitlyn for her performance at their first tournament. She hustled for ever single ball and served consistently the entire day! Nice job Caitlyn!
18 Black: Megan Rasnake
The coaches would like to recognize Megan for her performance at their first tournament. Meg stepped into her role on the right side by putting up a huge block against some big outside hitters. She also delivered some key kills as the 18's played some extremely tough competition. Nice job Megan!
16 Black: Becca Bennett
The coaches would like to recognize Becca for her performance at their first tournament. Her consistency throughout the entire day led the team to their undefeated record in pool play. Her performance offensively played a key role in the teams chemistry. Her positive attitude and leadership abilities on and off the court, along with her skill, is what made her the teams "go to girl" during the tournament. The coaches cannot wait to see what else she has in store for the rest of the season.
16 Purple: Monica McNicholas
The coaches would like to recognize Monica for her performance at their first tournament. She played consistently all day in a position she hadn’t practiced much, and responded well to strategy and shot locations given to her during the games. She also did a nice job of keeping up the energy on the court. Congratulations Monica
14 Purple: Carlee Herrin
The coaches would like to recognize Carlee for her performance at their first tournament. As a setter, Carlee had approximately 10 minutes to learn how to run a 5-1 offense for the final matches of the tournament. She picked it up quickly and did a great job of getting the ball to her hitters, allowing the team to win in quarterfinals and advance to the semis. Great work Carlee!!
14 White: Sarah Wydila
The coaches would like to recognize Sarah for her performance at their first tournament. Sarah was a constant presence on the court and demonstrated leadership skills as the team was adjusting to playing together for the first time. She also made some outstanding plays for the team. Nice job Sarah!
14 Black: Lindsay Glavin
The coaches would like to recognize Lindsay for her performance at their first tournament. Lindsay played consistently well all day. She was aggressive and ran a great offense. As the day went on she fired up her teammates and played intense volleyball. Way to go Lindsay!
